Eagles sign veteran CB James Bradberry

The Philadelphia Eagles are signing free agent cornerback James Bradberry to a one-year deal, the team announced Wednesday. The deal is worth up to $10 million, according to multiple reports.

Bradberry became a free agent earlier this month after the New York Giants failed to find a trade partner and released him. He was set to carry a $21.9 million cap hit this season and his release created nearly $10.1 million in cap savings for New York.

The 28-year-old spent the past two seasons with New York after playing four years with the Panthers, who selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Bradberry played in all 17 games last season and intercepted four passes, deflected 17 passes and recovered two fumbles.
