Ella Toone extends Manchester United contract until 2025

Manchester United and England forward Ella Toone has signed a contract extension which will see her stay with club until June 2025.

Toone, 22, joined United in 2018 when the team was formed.

In her time in Manchester so far, Toone is United’s most-capped player and has scored the most goals for the team having netted 36 goals in 83 appearances.

Toone has continued to build on her career having made her England debut at 21 years old before going on to represent Team GB at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the summer.

Speaking after the contract extension was announced, Toone said: “To sign a new contract at the club is really exciting for me; United has been a big part of my life growing up and I’m over the moon to continue my journey.

“The club meets my ambitions as a player, I’ve learnt so much already and I just want to keep working hard, keep contributing and have success here.

“I just want to also say a big thanks to everyone who has been involved in my journey so far; from family, friends, team-mates, staff and, of course, the fans, whose support I never take for granted.

“I want to make you all proud and create more memories with this club.”

United face one of their biggest challenges on Sunday when they host league leaders Arsenal. Toone will look to be as influential as possible as United seek to push into the top three.
