Jets sign LB Kwon Alexander: Reports

The New York Jets are signing veteran linebacker Kwon Alexander to a one-year deal, according to multiple reports on Thursday.

Alexander, 27, spent most of the past two seasons with the New Orleans Saints after being traded from the San Francisco 49ers during the 2020 campaign.

He returned from an Achilles injury last year and had 50 tackles, 3 ½ sacks and a forced fumble in 12 games.

Prior to his stint in New Orleans, Alexander spent time with the 49ers where he was coached by current Jets head coach Robert Saleh, who served as defensive coordinator for San Francisco from 2017-20.

Alexander, a former fourth-round pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2015 NFL Draft, made the Pro Bowl with the Buccaneers in 2017.
