Lightning’s Brayden Point exits Game 7 against Maple Leafs, hobbles to locker room

Tampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point exited Game 7 against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday with an apparent leg injury.

As Point was retrieving the puck in the Toronto zone, his right leg collided with the boards, causing him to fall down. He hobbled off the ice to the dressing room.

Point, 26, scored the overtime winner in Game 6 for the Lightning, sending the series to Game 7. He has two goals and two assists thus far in the playoffs.

The winner of Saturday’s game will face the Florida Panthers in the second round of the Stanley Cup playoffs.
