Lions’ D’Andre Swift exits vs. Bears with shoulder injury, questionable to return

Detroit Lions star running back D’Andre Swift is questionable to return to Thursday’s game against the Chicago Bears after exiting in the second quarter with a shoulder injury.

Swift sustained the injury when he was pushed out of bounds by Roquan Smith at Chicago’s 32-yard line after gaining two yards on first-and-15. The 22-year-old remained on the turf on the sidelines before trainers helped him up. Swift jogged to the Lions’ sideline but slumped down once he reached the bench. He headed to the locker room with trainers a few minutes later.

Shortly after the incident, the Bears announced Smith was questionable to return with a hamstring injury.

Swift entered Thursday’s game leading all running backs in receptions (53) and ranking second in receiving yards (420).

Just before halftime, Chicago’s injury troubles continued when wide receiver Marquise Goodwin exited with a foot injury. He is also questionable to return.
