The NHL rescheduled 98 games that were postponed because of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Of those 98, 95 will be made up during the break in the schedule that was initially earmarked for the league’s participation in the Olympics in February.
This season, the league has postponed 104 games for COVID-19-related reasons. Six had been rescheduled before Wednesday.
On Tuesday, the league said it will relax its testing protocols after the All-Star break. Asymptomatic players and staff who are fully vaccinated will no longer be tested unless they are crossing the border.
The regular season is still scheduled to conclude on April 29.
