USC landed a commitment from three-star 2023 athlete Kade Eldridge on Wednesday, the second 2023 prospect to commit to the Trojans this week. Oregon and Washington were USC’s main competition for the 6-foot-5, 235 rising senior who plays for Lynden Christian School in Washington.
Eldridge is the No. 533 overall player in the country per the 247Sports Composite, and although he is listed as an athlete, USC is recruiting him as a tight end. His addition won’t impact USC’s pursuit of blue-chip tight ends Duce Robinson and Walker Lyons, who visited campus last weekend. Eldridge visited USC the week before alongside defensive lineman Grant Buckey and offensive lineman Tobias Raymond, who committed shortly after their visits.
Three-star offensive lineman Amos Talalele flipped from Cal on Monday, USC’s first announced commitment from the weekend. With Eldridge in the fold, the Trojans’ 2023 class ranks ninth nationally, per the 247Sports Composite.
