Who should be Manchester United’s interim and then permanent manager? – The Athletic

After a humiliating 4-1 defeat against Watford yesterday, Manchester United today sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

First-team coach Michael Carrick has been put in temporary charge before United’s Champions League match away to Villarreal on Tuesday. United then play Chelsea and Arsenal in the league.

In a statement, the club said Carrick “will now take charge of the team for forthcoming games, while the club looks to appoint an interim manager to the end of the season.”

With that being the case, who do you want in to steady the ship until the end of the season?

And who would you then want as the club’s permanent manager?
