Wisconsin received a pair of commitments Friday night from three-star athlete Justin Taylor (La Grange Park, Ill.) and three-star running back Jaquez Keyes (Ironton, Ohio), doubling the Badgers’ 2023 recruiting class from two to four players. They join inside linebacker Tyler Jansey and offensive lineman James Durand.
Taylor committed while on a campus visit and did so just two days after earning his Wisconsin scholarship offer. He picked Wisconsin over an offer from Kansas State, as well as several Mid-American Conference programs, Army, Navy and Air Force. Taylor, who is 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, is expected to enter the program as a safety.
Keyes earned 15 scholarship offers, including from Iowa and Pittsburgh, and was a recent Badgers offer on April 17. He also plays linebacker in high school and is listed at 6-1 and 207 pounds. Keyes finished his junior season with more than 1,000 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns.
